Travel Everything you need to know before going to Asia for the first time! 24/09/2017 Going to China for the first time? Confused on how to get organized? Don't worry! Here are my tips of my experience of my first time in Asia and itwas amazing! Although there are many doubts when going for the first time dueto the cultural difference it is incredible. One blog post is too shortfor such an amazing trip with a lot of information I'd love to share with you soI am going to write an entry per place with my recommendations. What should you do before going to China? Don'twait to arrive and see what you are going to do. It's very important tosearch your interest prior to the trip and organize your agenda because thereis A LOT to see and if you don't organize you'll end up waisting time. Citiesare immense and there is a lot to do, so thats my tip # 1, organize! Problems with the food? NO! In mypersonal experience it was ok. People scares you when you are going to Chinaand start telling you to take food with you. We were in a touristic area sothere was food for any of your liking. I do recommend to research where youwill eat before heading out of the hotel to avoid mistakes. We also stick tobasics and didn’t adventure to eat things we are not used to. But once again RESEARCH. Trip advisor does a greatwork to help you find great places. Other tip, to communicate can be an issue if you don’t know how to talk mandarin. Eventhough you know every part of China has their own language so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO TAKE A CARD WITH YOURHOTEL NAME in the language of the place you are at the moment, so if youget lost you only have to give the card to the taxi and literally make signstelling them “there”. Cities are verybig and it is easy to get lost. Internet? You’ll be forced to take a break from social media because many sites such as google, facebook, Instagramand Snapchat are blocked. In some placeswhere they have an IP address from other country you can log in. Is is very easy to get a mobile chip. Whathappened to me is that I bought it and though it didn’t work, but it did work. The problem was my main search site is gmail so it wasn’t working and I didn’tfigure that on time. Also my mail is gmail so I couldn’t download my mail so itwas kind of a mess. Last but not least, we where able to take a cruisein Asia and I highly recommend it. Asia is so big, with so many interestingplaces to go that it can be confusing to organize. Taking a cruise makes iteasier because they have already organized routes and they also have organizedtrips within the place. We took a cruise from Celebrity Cruises and it was 10 out of 10. One post is not enough for all the information I’d like to share, so stay tune. I’llshare more information by location on other posts.
